Mount demands that ESPN terminate Joe Buck and Troy Aikman’s $100 million contracts during Monday Night Football over disappointing comments

Be honest, how many of you are watching the Buffalo Bills-New York Jets game on silent? We know some of us definitely are. The commentary was abysmally bad and unbearable to listen to. Some would even call it “yapping.”

About two years ago, ESPN signed Joe Buck and Troy Aikman to a deal that paid them more than $100 million to host a Monday Night Football game. In return, ESPN handed over a Friday night college football game in exchange for the announcers. This trade may have turned out to be a bad deal.

There have been several instances where the duo was caught slipping. In the second quarter on the Jets 2 and 10 Aaron Rodgers delivered a 23-yard pass to Breece Hall and the commentators couldn’t stop praising him. This game and the commentary were not well received by football fans at all.

There is a divide between people who believe Aikman and Buck rely heavily on the Jets, while some Jets fans think the duo are bashing the team for no reason. Something else happened with 6:54 left in the second quarter. It was Tyler Bass’ turn to kick the XP, but he failed. Check out the conversation between Aikman and Buck.

Joe Buck:Bass. No chance. That was just strange.

Troy Aikman: I don’t think the wind had anything to do with it.

Desire: I saw better kicks on “College GameDay.” What the hell was that?

If we look closely at the free kick, there may be a possibility that the ball was deflected by a Jets player, but the commentator didn’t take this into account. When you compare this MNF show to what’s going on with Manning Cast, it’s a night and day difference. For many fans, this comment is pure ear-bleeding. Listening to Tom Brady might be less hectic at this point. But let’s see what the fans say.

Fans condemn Tory Aikman and Joe Buck

Tired of Troy Aikman siding with the Jets, a fan shared his dissatisfaction with X, saying: “@TroyAikman you must be off air my man. Call both teams fair, they’re awesome.”

Another person expressed his frustration over Aikman’s apparent shooting at the Jets. His post said: “I’m tired of hearing Troy Aikman basically attack the Jets with bats. I hope we make this damn loser. Eat his words.” A fan commented on the post and said Aikman confused Joe Tippman with Connor McGovern.

Another fan wasn’t happy to see the MNF game, where Rodgers takes center stage, being canceled by the said duo. This is my absolute worst nightmare. Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night Football gets calls from Troy Aikman and Joe Buck.😵💫.”

Joe Buck called Rodgers’ 23-yard pass to Breece Hall a great play, but in this fan’s eyes it couldn’t have been further from the truth. “Joe Buck has no idea what he’s talking about. This is a bad pass from Aaron Rodgers. You can’t throw a ball like that to a running back. #MNF.”
