A season after their unlikely run to the quarter-finals of this competition, Trinidad and Tobago are yet to score a second goal.

Derek King is still looking for his first win as interim coach of this team, with TNT taking a point in each of the last two meetings.

Their draw on Thursday ended a two-game goal drought, although they are already out of that competition and need a win to avoid relegation to League B.

Only three times in their history in League A have the Soca Warriors finished first, while in two of those encounters they failed to win.

TNT had a 100 percent home record in the Nations League last season, although this time they could only manage a 0-0 draw at home against French Guiana in the second group game.

The Soca Warriors have not lost any of their last four games against the Cubans in regulation time and won 2-0 in their last meeting at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

It was an unusual situation for Cuba on matchday three, as they were already behind after eight minutes, but managed to fight back twice and get a point.

This early deficit forced Yuniely’s Castillo taking a more offensive approach than we are used to from him, and they scored multiple goals in a game for the first time since the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup (4-2 loss to Canada).

To avoid slipping into League B, the Cubans must avoid defeat on matchday four, while a win, combined with a Honduras defeat and a four-goal win, would send them into the knockout phase for the first time .

Cuba has never won an away game in League A of this tournament and failed to score on those occasions.

Los Leones del Caribe have a chance on Monday to finish a League A season unbeaten for the first time and have recorded three straight draws so far this season.

This team has not beaten the Soca Warriors in Trinidad and Tobago since a 3-1 win in a 2003 Gold Cup qualifier.

We say: Trinidad and Tobago 1:1 Cuba

Neither team was really decisive in the entire 90 minutes and we don’t think either team has enough quality to emerge victorious from this encounter.
