At least 10 people were killed in Israeli attacks on a flour distribution center in the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza, an official at Al-Awda Hospital in the camp told NBC News.

The official said 40 others were injured in the attack.

A new Israeli operation in the northern Gaza Strip has put the Jabaliya camp and hospitals in the area under siege. More than 200 people were killed in the new Israeli offensive in the region.

Iran had no knowledge of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 a year ago and did not take part in the attack, a statement from Iran’s mission to the United Nations said.

Iran’s UN mission responded to reports in the New York Times and Washington Post citing secret Hamas documents seized by Israeli forces. Documents cited in the media reports indicated that Hamas discussed the planned attack with Iranian commanders in advance and asked Iran and Hezbollah to take part in the attacks.

“While Hamas officials based in Doha have themselves stated that they too had no prior knowledge of the operation and that all planning, decision-making and direction was carried out exclusively by Hamas’ military wing based in Gaza, each claim attempts to provide context.” The communication to Iran or Hezbollah – in whole or in part – is not credible and comes from forged documents,” the Iranian UN mission said.
