Use public transportation to get to Climate Pledge Arena and help “Release the Kraken” – Metro Matters

Its tentacles were seen all over the city. After a summer nap, the octopus is ready to be unleashed! It’s hockey season, be sure to grab a warm coat, your hat and don’t forget your Seattle Kraken ticket, which is also your pass for transit to Climate Pledge Arena.

Stanley Cup-winning coach Dan Bylsma and newcomers Brandon Montour and Chandler Stephenson join Kraken veterans Matty Beniers, Vince Dunn and goaltender Philipp Grubauer this season.

Climate Pledge is the place to be, not behind the wheel! Your ticket to the game is still a free ride to the Seattle Center.

Ticket holders, both season ticket holders and single-game tickets, can access Transit GO Tickets to ride public transit through the Seattle Kraken app. Passes can be used throughout your trip – on buses, light rail, water taxi, Seattle Center Monorail and other public transportation. Don’t forget, your ticket to ANY public event at Climate Pledge Arena is now a free public transit ticket.

Tips for a smooth trip to Seattle Center this season

Plan your trip in advance. Visit Trip Planner or use a third-party app like One Bus Away or Google Maps (in public transit mode). Another way to find the best routes is to call Metro customer service at 206-553-3000 (press 1 to call an interpreter) weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Best routes from downtown Seattle to the game

  • Take the bus at Third Avenue and Pike Street. Take Route 4 to Fifth Avenue and Broad Street. After the game, you can head downtown for entertainment or other travel connections by boarding Route 4 at Fifth Avenue and Broad Street. (Outside MoPOP) and head to Third Avenue and Pike Street downtown.
  • Lines 1, 2, 8, 13 and the RapidRide D line also run very close to the arena.
  • And don’t forget: Future All-Stars 18 and under ride buses, light rail, water taxis and ferries to the game for free!
  • The Seattle Center Monorail is a direct connection between downtown Seattle and Climate Pledge Arena. Link light rail riders can easily transfer to the Seattle Monorail at Westlake Station. Your ORCA card is also valid on the monorail! For the monorail, Young people need an ORCA card or an event ticket ride for free. Without this, drivers ages 6 to 18 must pay $1.75.
  • Have your payment method ready every time you board to keep everything moving.

Don’t get caught “behind the lines” on the way to the game. Ride the Metro, cheer on the Kraken and be ready to capture “Yeet” after another victory.
