Matthew McConaughey ensures that his 16-year-old son, LeviHe’s doing well, well, well on the set of his big break… TMZ has learned.

In video footage obtained by TMZ, the Oscar winner can be seen reassuring his wife Camila Alves‘Son who is on set at Mission Beach in San Diego filming his breakthrough role in the film “Way of the Warrior Kid.”

Levi appears obviously nervous about a certain shot and asks his famous father – who is not involved in the film – for advice.

Eyewitnesses tell TMZ … Levi was slated for a pull-up scene and was visibly nervous before filming it … which is why he turned to his father for advice from veterans.

Matthew lovingly pats Levi on the shoulder, gives words of encouragement, and sends the teen on his way to film his scene.

We assume everything went according to plan as MM returned to the video village after the father-son chat.

Word from Levi’s cast in Way of the Warrior Kid – an adaptation of Jocko WillinkThe book of the same name was canceled in September when it was announced that LM had been cast in a supporting role in the series Chris Pratt-directed film.

The film also stars Linda Cardellini, Jew HillAnd Ava Torres.
