AMBER Alert issued for St Augustine baby

An AMBER Alert was issued Sunday morning as police searched for a six-month-old infant from St. Augustine who was reportedly kidnapped.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is urging the public to be on the lookout for Zaina Ward, who went missing earlier in the day from the 500 block of State Road 13 North in St. Augustine. At the time, she wore a white frilly romper with pink flowers and green stems. Zaina has brown hair and brown eyes.

According to AMBER Alert, she is believed to be with Mohammed Adam and they may be traveling north to Jacksonville in a silver 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier with Florida license plate RXCR47.

Adam, 22, is described as a black man, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He also lives in St. Augustine.

Authorities are warning anyone who sees them to not approach them and to call police immediately. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to immediately call the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at 904-824-9304 or 911.
