Multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Riley Green cements his reputation as a “Road Warrior” (Pollstar) by announcing an extensive headlining career: “Damn country music tour“,” is scheduled to begin March 27 in Abbotsford, BC, Canada. The announcement was made even more memorable by a nod to the classic “Smokey and the Bandit” with a video featuring the country star and all of his opening acts. Watch the promo video HERE. About the tour, Riley says: “I learned to play guitar back then to my grandfather’s favorite country songs, and the new album is a reminder of the time when I first became a fan.” For this tour, I was able to Bringing in some of my favorite artists and songwriters, and singing with Ella every night will be a lot of fun.”

Green appears in support of the tour today, revving his engine in a hilarious parody of the iconic 1977 film Smokey and the Bandit. In a playful reenactment, he takes on the role of the legendary bandit (Burt Reynolds) with Ella Langley as runaway bride Carrie (Sally Field) as they evade the police in a sleek Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Green grabs the CB radio to call out to his opening acts and invite them to join him on the road. The scene is perfectly timed to the late Jerry Reed’s iconic tune “East Bound and Down,” adding a nostalgic feel to this light-hearted tour announcement. Since releasing his self-titled EP in 2018 on Big Machine Label Group, Riley Green has been making country fans have a drink, shed a tear, and most of all, celebrate their heritage.
