Colorado star Travis Hunter leaves the game with an injury

However, there is a problem late in the second quarter as Hunter was shown on the ESPN broadcast heading back to the locker room. Not what you expect from a Heisman Trophy contender.

A Colorado The assistant held Hunter’s helmet, but the two-way star left under his own power. ESPN’s Quint Kessenich later revealed that Hunter was dealing with shoulder soreness and that the problem persisted throughout the game. No specific moment can be linked to the injury.

“Hunter with right shoulder pain,” Kessenich said. “You pointed it out. The medical staff looked at him. He came over and grimaced in pain. They got to him again and now it’s the second time in this game he’s gotten away. Amazing toughness because Omarion Miller wanted to get himself into the game, Travis waved him off. But now he is finally in the locker room and is being examined further.”
