Oregon revealed what should be Ohio State football’s greatest asset

EUGENE, Ore. – Ohio State’s defense received a lot of positive press clippings during the offseason, and they were all deserved. No longer.

It was okay to look at a group that returned so much talent and experience and think that the Buckeyes might have a historic group that no offense could penetrate.

It was okay to think that because of all the weapons in the secondary, passing the ball to that unit wasn’t a good idea.

It was okay to assume that pressure would be in abundance from the front seven because even when the linebackers were young, they were pretty darn good. Give them a few games to figure it out, and when OSU heads to Oregon, they’ll be good to go.

No longer.
