ATHENS, Ga. – Mississippi State football is back on the road today to take on another top team in the SEC.

MSU (1-4, 0-2 SEC) plays No. 4 Georgia (4-1, 2-1) at Sanford Stadium (3:15 p.m., SEC Network).

Mississippi State is coming off its first open week of the season after a poor start for first-year coach Jeff Lebby. The Bulldogs defeated Eastern Kentucky in the season opener, but have lost four straight games and have failed to gain a lead against any FBS opponent. Quarterback Blake Shapen is also out for the season with a shoulder injury.

Georgia’s only loss comes at Alabama, where the team is seeking its third national championship in four seasons.
