Georgia RB vs Mississippi State status

According to SEC Network, Georgia Bulldogs running back Branson Robinson will not return for Saturday’s game against Mississippi State after suffering a lower-body injury.

Robinson went down in the second quarter of the game, and the team’s trainers rushed onto the field to tend to him, holding up towels to shield him from television cameras and spectators.

Robinson’s right leg appeared to buckle underneath him during a tackle immediately after a short catch as the Bulldogs moved into MSU territory in the first half.

SEC Network reporter Alyssa Lang said she watched Robinson retreat to the Georgia locker room “limping slightly.”

“He looked disappointed,” she added. “The Georgia staff told me it was a right knee injury. He’s out for the rest of today’s game.”

Robinson has 22 carries for 61 yards and 2 touchdowns for Georgia this season, along with 5 receptions for 28 yards.

Georgia has three players listed as out for Saturday’s game on the SEC’s football availability report.

Among them was running back Roderick Robinson, who continues to rehab a lower-body injury suffered during fall camp.

Offensive guard Tate Ratledge continues to recover from the ankle injury he suffered during the Kentucky game, and linebacker Smael Mondon did not appear in the game.
