Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke II & Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol – who will win? Expert forecasts for cash accounting | Boxing News

Experts, fighters and champions have their say ahead of the rematch between Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke and between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol in a huge night of boxing Sky Sports box office.

Fabio Wardley vs Frazer Clarke II – who will win?

Natasha Jonas (two-weight world champion):

I don’t think it can be as good as the first one – because the first fight was the best I’ve ever seen live. And I’ve seen a lot of fights, that’s a big statement. I think Frazer wins. I don’t think anyone will be eliminated after the last game, apart from winning a point.

Jai Opetaia (IBF Cruiserweight World Champion):

I’m leaning more towards Fabio. I think he has a slightly higher skill level. But Frazer Clarke, he’s a big boy, a big puncher, so he still has to fight smart, you can’t be comfortable in there.

Frazer Clarke looks back on his dramatic first fight with Fabio Wardley and vows it will be a different story in the rematch

Skye Nicolson (WBC Featherweight World Champion):

I think Wardley is just a tip for me. I think it’s a great fight. It’s one of those 50-50 fights that can really go either way, as the first fight showed. It could honestly be the same thing again.

Jack Massey (European cruiserweight champion):

Another difficult question. I think Wardley will make a mistake if he tries to have the same fight as the last fight where he will try to drag him into a dogfight.

I think Frazer is a bit smarter. I think he looked at the last fight and thought, “I’m not going to get into a duel.” I think he’ll be smarter and try to box a little more. I approach Frazer.

Dalton Smith (undefeated British champion):

I think Frazer will get through this. I let him win the first fight. What a great fight for the fans.

I just think Frazer learned more from this fight, even though I thought he won by a round or two in the first fight.

Heavyweight contenders Frazer Clarke and Fabio Wardley drew portraits of each other and certainly weren’t very complimentary!

Raven Chapman (world title challenger):

It will be interesting. This time I would probably turn to Frazer. I feel like Frazer wasn’t at his best in the first fight. I’ve obviously been to GB and seen Frazer at work and I know what he’s capable of. I think he had some other equipment he could have switched to that night.

Liam Cameron (former Commonwealth Champion):

I can remember watching that fight and thinking, “Wow, that looks terrible.” They in the locker room must be disappointed because they know they’re going to get into that fight again! Pull.

Joe Gallagher (top coach):

It was a great fight straight away. I think Wardley won, but it was very, very close. I think Wardley (will win this one). I think Wardley will have gained huge confidence from this fight.

Frazer wants to prove his point, Fabio has gained confidence through the fight. Both had mutual difficulties at times.

Both fighters must have learned how to finish a fight in this camp. Can Fabio Wardley do this time?

Fabio Wardley is not worried about his old nose injury and says it will have no impact on his big return match with Frazer Clarke

Spencer Oliver (former European champion):

I think Frazer Clarke’s minor adjustments might be just enough. Those better boxing skills could get him over the finish line. I believe they will be on equal terms again. We could even get the draw.

They will fight until the end. In round 12 they will stand in the middle of the ring and fight toe to toe.

Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol – who will win?

Natasha Jonas (two-weight world champion):

I’m wavering here. Beterbiev, does he have the IQ to outsmart Bivol? Then I think of Bivol, he always looks like he has two or three courses left to go, but he never gets in. So can you do it if you need to? Because he has to make Beterbiev respect him. He has to keep Beterbiev away for twelve rounds.

I’ll go with Beterbiev.

Ahead of his undisputed light heavyweight bout with Dmitry Bivol, Artur Beterbiev explains his most extreme training sessions

Jai Opetaia (IBF Cruiserweight World Champion):

It’s a great chess match in this fight. It’s a perfect forward fighter versus a perfect long range footwork fighter. I’m really interested to see this fight. I lean a bit towards Bivol because I box more and cut angles. I like this boxing more than this front foot style, but it won’t be an easy fight.

The loser will be the one who makes the most mistakes. I believe both have what it takes to beat each other, but whoever makes the most mistakes or makes the second wrong mistake will pay the price. Since these are the best fighters, you will have to face the consequences if you make a mistake.

Skye Nicolson (WBC Featherweight World Champion):

For me this is a classic fight against boxers. I’m betting on the Boxer, so for me it’s Bivol. If anyone can knock Bivol’s incredible boxing brain and accomplishments, it’s Beterbiev. But for me I see Bivol winning.

Jack Massey (European cruiserweight champion):

With Beterbiev you just have to stay and keep going. Box and move, box and move, don’t let him track you down.

I’m approaching Bivol. I think he can outsmart him. We’ll see. I think it’s a great fight.

Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev engaged in a fierce duel ahead of their undisputed light heavyweight clash this weekend

Dalton Smith (undefeated British champion):

I support Beterbiev. I’ve changed my mind a few times. I support Beterbiev in the last appearances against this opponent.

The Callum Smith fight changed it for me. I thought Callum had a high chance of knocking out Beterbiev. You could see his size and his power and that changed it for me.

Raven Chapman (world title challenger):

It’s easily one of the best fights you can do in boxing. For me, Beterbiev just has the edge, but it’s a tough question. It could either be a boxing class from Bivol or a real fight between two really tough guys.

Liam Cameron (former Commonwealth Champion):

Beterbiev interruption. I just don’t think Bivol can stop him. He could win all the rounds with Beterbiev, but he just keeps coming. Unless he twists his knee. You just never know.

Artur Beterbiev showed off his steel wrists with a very special warm-up routine in Riyadh

Joe Gallagher (top coach):

As it gets closer and closer, I’m going to Bivol just because Beterbiev is 39 years old. He wasn’t active his whole career, he had long breaks. Bivol was on the big stage, the huge stage, we’re talking about the Canelo stage, and he did very well and showed what he can do.

Beterbiev has a lot more power and a lot more movement (than Canelo), but I just think this is a fight where Father Time might have caught up with Beterbiev. You can’t rule him out… I just changed my mind and went to Beterbiev.

Spencer Oliver (former European champion):

I’m leaning towards Beterbiev. I think he wins the fight. I think he’ll just break up the room. Bivol is lighter on his feet and his work pace is good. But it’s incredible how strong Beterbiev is, and we’ll find out on Saturday.
