The upcoming Fortnite seasonal update Fortnitemares has been delayed by almost 24 hours.

Fortnite announced Fortnitemares on October 8th

Fortnite shared a teaser trailer for the upcoming update on X, formerly Twitter, in October. They announced that this update would be released on Friday, October 11th.

Fortnite confirms the drop of Fortnitemares

Fortnite tweeted at 10 a.m. on October 10, reminding players that Fortnitemares would begin the next day.

“Sharpen your tools and prepare for a scare. FORTNITEMARES – TOMORROW!”

Fornitemares update delay announced

In order to perform the update, the servers will be shut down, making the game unplayable. So when updates are made, they plan for downtime.

At around 2 a.m. on October 11, Fortnite said they had delayed the start of downtime for the update, but planned to only push it back a few hours.
