    Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season begins with a massive NFC West matchup on “Thursday Night Football,” pitting the San Francisco 49ers (2-3) against the Seattle Seahawks (3-2).

    Both teams are coming off a disappointing loss in Week 5 and will be looking to get back on the winning list in prime time at Lumen Field in Seattle. Both teams were up by 7 points at home and were upset on Sunday.

    The Seahawks have lost two straight games after an impressive 3-0 start to the season under first-year head coach Mike Macdonald. Seattle was defeated by the New York Giants 29-20 on Sunday.

    The reigning NFC champion 49ers suffered a 24:23 defeat at home against the Arizona Cardinals. It was a turbulent start to the season for San Francisco. Running back Christian McCaffrey remains out. Next up for the 49ers is a Super Bowl rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, but they can’t afford to ignore their division rivals on Thursday night.

    Entering Week 6, both teams rank in the top ten in total offense (SF 2nd, 407.4 YDS/G) and (SEA 7th, 376.2 YDS/G). There is plenty of star power in both squads, which makes this match even more exciting.
