A home was a total loss after a fire near the Parkway in Sevierville

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – A home is totaled and an investigation is underway after a structure fire broke out on Tanager Street near the Parkway in Sevierville.

Sevierville police said firefighters responded to the fire on Oct. 9 around 8 p.m. There was heavy fire and smoke coming from the house. The fire burned for several hours and was finally completely extinguished around 12:35 p.m., according to SPD.

The video from Andrus Photography shows the huge response to the fire. SPD said crews from Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Sevier County Fire-Rescue helped put out the fire. Sevier County Ambulance Service and Sevier County Electric System also responded.

When emergency responders arrived, the residents of the home were outside and no injuries were reported. However, the house is a total loss. The SPD added that the firefighter is investigating.
