Bonneville’s Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan won the Marconi Award for 2024 Sports Radio Station of the Year. The award was accepted Wednesday evening at NAB’s Marconi Awards Show in New York City. Bonneville Denver is led by SVP/Market Manager Katie Reid and Program Director Amanda Brown.

104.3 The Fan defeated 670 The Score in Chicago, Sports Radio WIP in Philadelphia, 97.1 The Ticket in Detroit and 96.7/1310 The Ticket in Dallas to capture the honor. Brian Michel, program director for Bonneville Denver KYGO-FM, accepted the award on behalf of the station.

Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan recently introduced a new weekday lineup. The station now shows Brandon Stokely with Mike Evans and Mark Schlereth in mornings. Stokely had been running midday for eight years. Denver Sports analyst Cecil Lammey was a midday co-host along with Josh Dover. The Drive remains in the afternoon with Zach Bye and Phillip Lindsay.

The station has been active in the sports format since 1995 and initially launched on the AM station as 950 The Fan. In 2008, a switch to FM occurred, and in early 2023 the station was renamed from 104.3 The Fan to Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan.
