WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) – Sunny skies will continue into the weekend in Texoma, with temperatures remaining 10 to 15 degrees above average in early October.

On Friday, October 4, 2024, winds will increase during the late morning and afternoon hours as temperatures peak in the mid to upper 90s across most of Texoma.

Are you planning on heading out to one of the football games in the area this evening? Temperatures will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s near the start of the game. So remember the best practices for staying cool that we used during the first week of August.

This weekend the wind will be more south-southeast, allowing temperatures to ease slightly as afternoon highs fall back into the mid to low 90s.

Something similar is expected next week as high pressure will persist throughout the weekend, continuing to bring hotter than average temperatures and mostly clear skies across southwestern parts of the country.
