Teo does it again

Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández may not be the flashiest guy in Dodgers manager Dave Roberts’ (almost) everyday starting lineup, but he is undoubtedly one of the most relatable players.

Teo did it again in the Dodgers’ 7-5 victory over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night before 52,028 fans at Dodger Stadium in Game 1 of the 2024 National League West Division Series. The 31-year-old native of Cotui, Dominican Republic singled in the fourth inning hit a two-out single right off Padres right-hander Jeremiah Estrada, securing the (then) game-winning fifth and (later) game-winning sixth run for the Dodgers.

Just Teo doing what Teo does.

But as Dodger fans have already come to expect and appreciate, it was international superstar Shohei Ohtani who once again (and understandably) took home most of the accolades with his dramatic three-run home run to right field in the second inning that made it 3-3. 0 led The Padres lead to a 3-3 tie.

Although Teoscar’s two-run single in the bottom of the fourth ultimately secured the Dodgers’ victory, it was Ohtani’s game-winning three-run, 372-foot home run into the right field pavilion with two outs in the bottom of the second that clinched the set Stage for Teo.

Don’t stop now, people.

Play ball!
