About Project Connect:

Project Connect is a multi-year project designed to improve pedestrian access and safety, improve road conditions, and create critical connections throughout Goleta while increasing stormwater drainage capacity in the San Jose Creek under the Hollister Bridge.

The large-scale construction project includes the extensions of Ekwill Street and Fowler Road, the replacement of the Hollister Avenue Bridge, two new roundabouts on Hollister Avenue at the Highway 217 interchange, the interim Hollister Avenue striping project, and improvements to the San Jose Creek flood control capabilities. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026, when motorists and pedestrians will have better east-west access through Old Town Goleta.

The City recognizes that projects like this can be inconvenient and we thank you for your patience.
