Is it better to buy a new console on Prime Day or Black Friday?

Last year we also saw the launch of the PS5 Slim during the long Black Friday sales. As we mentioned earlier, Sony quickly made a mid-gen update with Spider-Man 2 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This was Black Friday’s most popular deal and a good indicator that a decent console is worth waiting for in the bargain.

It’s also worth remembering that the PS5 Pro could get more of a spotlight on Black Friday, or could usher in bundle deals or price cuts for any other PS5 when it becomes regularly available. When it comes to Prime Day in October or Black Friday, the answer for now is: trust your gut. If $50 off the PS5 Slim seems like a good deal during Prime Big Deal Days, it’s still a pretty rare sight and worth taking advantage of while you can.
