Origins set co-stars in new show ‘In a Cranky Mood’

Mark Harmon gets a short break NCIS: Origins and the royal treatment from bosses, leading stars from the original series to condemn the TV veteran for stealing the show.

“Bosses have been waiting a long time to get Mark back in front of the camera and they are making a big deal of him,” says the source.

“To say Mark is spoiled would be an understatement.”

Mark, 73, will briefly reprise his long-standing role as Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the prequel reboot, three years after the original series, which first premiered in 2003, ended its TV run.

The NCIS Alum is also an executive producer on the new series, giving him most of the behind-the-scenes attention, but will make a brief cameo to hand over the reins to the new series star. Austin Stowellplays a younger version of Mark’s iconic character.

The source says bosses are over the moon after convincing Mark to be on screen, saying: “They’ve looked after all his needs, masseuse, dog walker, espresso machine, anything he wants so he can feels comfortable on set.”

While the fans are giddy NCIS: Origins Premiere is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 14th. Not everyone is thrilled that the veteran actor is returning to the series.

“Origins is already making a big splash, and Mark is a big part of it, but the original cast is upset and is questioning Mark’s loyalty to their show,” the source explains.

Mark’s former co-star, Michael Weatherlywho recently reprized his role as Senior Field Agent Anthony DiNozzo alongside his co-star Cote de Pablois the character Ziva David in the 10-part spin-off series NCIS: EuropeHe was iced on screen by his former boss.

“I was like a little kid who ate one too many bowls of Count Chocula,” Michael, 56, said of his time filming the original NCISwhen he didn’t take the job as seriously as the workaholic Mark would have liked.

“For him, Michael is a real pain in the ass,” a second source previously said Closer. “He’s nothing but trouble.”

In 2018, CBS had to pay Michael’s bull Costar Eliza Dushku $9.5 million after she accused him of sexual harassment. While Mark himself has struggled with #MeToo, the source confirmed that “he thinks Michael is a loose ball.”

“It comes at a time when Sean is getting more screen time, so of course he thinks he should get some recognition,” the source continues, “while Wilmer has long believed he was the savior of NCIS.”

The exact nature of Mark’s appearance on the show remains a mystery, but the insider says that while his cameo is expected to be brief, it’s not exactly helpful for his co-stars on set.

“It captivated everyone NCIS in a bad mood.”
