NEW DELHI: Pace sensation Mayank Yadav on Sunday became the third Indian seamer to bowl a maiden in his very first over T20I Cricket, according to Ajit Agarkar and Arshdeep Singh, during a match against Bangladesh In Gwalior.
Ajit Agarkar was the first Indian to achieve this milestone. In a T20I against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2006, Agarkar bowled a first delivery in his debut game, setting the tone for India’s bowling attack.

16 years later, in 2022, young Arshdeep repeated this success on his debut against England at Southampton. Known for his ability to swing the ball in both directions, Arshdeep showed remarkable control by throwing a maiden over the wicket and putting the England batsmen on the back foot from the right at the start.

In 2024, Mayank joined this elite club by making an instant impact in his very first over. A little later, Mayank, who finished with figures of 1/21, picked up his first wicket by dismissing Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah with a performance of 146.1 kmph, showcasing his raw pace and precision.
The promising young fast bowler showcased his talent during the Indian Premier League 2024 while playing for the Indian Premier League Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). His raw pace and ability to generate quick deliveries caught the attention of cricket enthusiasts and experts alike.
Unfortunately, his impressive stint in the IPL was cut short due to an injury that prevented him from further showcasing his prowess on the field. Despite the setback, the pacer’s performance in the tournament left a lasting impression on those who saw his bowling skills.
