Jennifer Garner is coming to Arizona to campaign for Kamala Harris

play

Actress Jennifer Garner will campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris in Arizona on Saturday.

The Golden Globe-winning actress will take part in a discussion with a former Trump administration official with ties to Arizona and then join a meeting of mothers supporting Harris during her time in the state.

The campaign declined to say where Garner, known for her roles in the TV show “Alias” and the film “13 Going On 30,” will campaign, saying it will be “across the valley.”

Garner’s visit comes a month before Election Day on Nov. 5. Presidential polls show a razor-thin race in Arizona between Harris, the Democratic candidate, and Republican former President Donald Trump.

Garner will join Stephanie Grisham, Trump’s former White House press secretary, for a conversation about “Democracy at the Altar.”

Grisham, who got her start in Arizona politics, endorsed Harris at the Democratic National Convention in August.

The aim of the campaign is to appeal to Republicans and Democrats and to highlight “the dangers of a second term for Donald Trump.”

Later, Garner will attend a “Moms for Harris” event. The actress is a board member of Save The Children, a humanitarian group.

“At the event, speakers will highlight the contrast in his election between Kamala Harris and Tim Walz – who trust women and fight to protect reproductive freedom – and Donald Trump and JD Vance’s extreme and dangerous Project 2025 agenda that will end abortion nationwide would ban and attack.” “Our rights and freedoms,” the campaign says.

Several actors have been promoting Harris in Arizona in recent months. “Emily in Paris” and “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Kate Walsh campaigned for Harris in September, and Harris spoke at a reproductive rights event with “Secret Life of the American Teenager” actress Francia Raisa in June.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is also planning a trip to Arizona to promote early voting.
