Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade Scott has revealed how she kept her pregnancy a secret at her own wedding.

After the 51-year-old rapper revealed in his new music video that his 28-year-old daughter is expecting her first child with husband Evan McClintock, the podcaster shared all the pregnancy details with her co-host and best friend Brittany, Ednie, on Just a little shady Podcast. The two even shared how clever Brittany “covered” for Hailie Jade and kept the baby news a secret.

Hailie Jade began the episode, released on Friday, October 4, by saying, “Maybe you’re tuning in, maybe you’re not, because you may have heard the news that I’m pregnant. Yay! Finally we shared it. It is like this.” It’s a relief to finally be able to say it.

Later in the episode, the mom-to-be teased Ednie for drunkenly spitting about her anxiety The Joker for “30 Minutes” at her and McClintock’s wedding, which took place in May. Then Ednie chimed in and said, “I also have to defend myself now that it’s public knowledge that you’re pregnant, because at that wedding people didn’t know she was pregnant.”

“So she grabbed a drink and didn’t drink it like a responsible parent would,” Ednie continued. “Whenever people got turned around, she would hand me her drink and I would chug, making it look like she had been drinking non-stop all night.”

“Brittany took one for the team,” Hailie Jade added. “Well, I’ll defend myself then, because I never really asked you to. It was like an unspoken thing with our eyes.”

She then shared: “Usually Evan (McClintock) would be the one taking a few sips, but he wasn’t anywhere near the mood. Plus, the drink was very specific.”

Hailie Jade recalled that she was “drinking a lavender lemonade, so Evan was like, ‘I don’t want that.’ But you said, ‘Oh, I’ll have a few drinks of that.'”

“So I feel like you volunteered for this,” she joked to Ednie.

On Thursday, Eminem released a touching music video for his song “Temporary,” which features dozens of old home videos of Hailie Jade. Towards the end of the video, the proud father shared footage of his daughter revealing to him that she is pregnant.

The influencer and podcaster presents her father with a blue soccer jersey with the words “Grandpa” and the number 1 on it, as well as a sonogram picture. Eminem’s jaw drops and his eyes widen as he bursts into tears at the good news.

Shortly after posting the video, Hailie Jade shared a few photos on her Instagram to confirm that she is welcoming her first baby with McClintock. “Mom & Dad expected 2025 🤍,” she wrote in her caption.
