India vs Bangladesh Live Score, 2nd Test Day 4:

India vs Bangladesh Live Score 2nd Test Day 4: Jasprit Bumrah knocked Mushfiqur Rahim to the ground early on the fourth day as he and Akash Deep launched the Indian attack and the second Test between India and Bangladesh finally resumed. Only 35 overs were bowled over three days, all of them on the first day, as rain and a wet outfield wiped out days two and three of the game.…Read more

The weather has finally brought some action to the Green Park Stadium for the first time in over two days. Bangladesh remained at 107 for three runs, with Mominul Haque on 40* off 81 and Mushifur Rahim on 6* off 13, after seven sessions of the second and final Test match of the series against India were washed out and there were no outs on two consecutive days. The weather forecast for Day 4 calls for just a 24 percent chance of rain, with Monday expected to remain cloudy, according to Weather.com. Temperatures of around 28 to 31 degrees Celsius are now expected during game hours.

There was not a single drop of rain after 9:30 a.m. on the third day, despite umpires calling for a delayed start as the outfield remained wet. After the covers were removed in the morning, the Super Soppers were at work but the outfield conditions did not improve as questions arose about the proper drainage system used at the venue. The sun also came out later in the afternoon, but as the match officials were unhappy with the ground conditions after three rounds of inspection, play was ultimately canceled for Day 3.

There was also a late start on the first day of the game. India later decided to bowl in a home Test match for the first time in nine years. They kept an unchanged eleven, which meant Kuldeep Yadav remained on the bench. Given the black soil on the pitch at Green Park, the spinner’s inclusion was a widely speculated move. However, India’s decision to stick with fast bowler Akash Deep proved to be the right decision as the right-armer picked two quick wickets with the new balls after Jasprit Bumrah’s magical deliveries failed to bring luck despite the two openers having no idea. After lunch, R Ashwin, player of the match in India’s Chennai win last week where he showed all-round brilliance with a five-wicket haul and a century, took a wicket, overtaking Anil Kumble to become second-highest Wicketaker on Asian soil (after Muttiah Muralidaran). The last meeting was canceled. Later, on the second day, there was no action. The rain stopped around 11:15 a.m., but the outside conditions did not improve.

Here are some highlights from Day 4 of the 2nd Test India vs Bangladesh:

– Bangladesh were 107/3 in 35 overs when the players walked out due to poor light shortly after lunch on the first day

– Mominil Haque hit 40 off 81 balls while Mushfiqur Rahim scored six off 13 balls

– Heavy rain washed out the rest of the first day and all of the second day

– There was no rain on Day 3, but no play was possible due to the wet outfield
