Kody Brown shares his “only regret” after the death of his son Garrison

Warning: The following post contains discussions about suicide.

Before the 19th season of Sisterwives and after the death of his son Garrison Brown, star Kody Brown speaks about his regrets.

“The only regret is using the time,” said the TLC reality personality People in a recent interview. “I want to go out to eat again. I want to sit down. I want to have a beer. I want (Garrison) to try to make me laugh because he was like that. My only regret is, gosh, I just wish I did that more often.”

Garrison, pictured below, one of Kody’s children with ex Janelle Brown, committed suicide in March at age 25. After that tragedy, Kody says “yes” more often these days to avoid similar feelings of regret, he told the magazine.

And Kody, who recently split from three of his four sister wives, said he wants everyone in the Brown family to be happy.

“People feel good where they have joy and pleasure,” he explained. “So I hope everyone will be happy. … I hope all my children get married and have children. That’s what I hope. And I hope they will be happy in those places.”

The new season of Sisterwives — premiering tonight, Sunday, Sept. 15, at 10/9c — will chronicle the Browns’ steps toward happiness, TLC says in a synopsis of the new episodes. “Kody, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn continue to provide real insight into the complexities of their relationships and move forward as best they can for themselves and each other,” the cable channel adds. “Viewers will continue to follow the Brown family’s triumphs, suffering and unimaginable heartache this season.”
