Above normal highs this weekend

This weekend, upper-level winds from the northwest combined with a light morning jet at low elevations will bring a series of weak pulses that could trigger some late evening and early morning showers across north-central Oklahoma early Saturday morning near the Highway 75 corridor, and again late Saturday night into early Sunday morning. If showers do occur, they will likely be brief and precipitation amounts will be very light.

As upper air returns from the southwest early next week, several low pressure systems are expected to form. These systems will primarily affect the westernmost third of the state, but may also bring a slight chance of rain or storms late into Tuesday night into Wednesday. A stronger low pressure system will arrive later in the week, potentially leading to a higher chance of storms next weekend.

Low temperatures of around 15 degrees and highs of around 35 degrees in the afternoon are expected over the weekend.

Sat. morning, lows 13.9.24

Heat index values are expected to be around 96 degrees on Sunday, and could reach the upper 90s early next week.

Highs next 7 9-13-24
