Koe Wetzel releases the long-awaited “Casamigos” this Friday

“Where is ‘Casamigos’?” That seemed to be the main question upon the release of Koe Wetzel’s latest album. 9 lives, last July. Well, it seems that question has just been answered.

The “Sweet Dreams” star will release the long-awaited tequila-soaked ballad this Friday (September 13).

The news comes in the form of a recent Instagram post that Wetzel simply captioned “Casamigos this Friday” and which features stills from what looks like the set of a music video.

‘Casamigos’ was originally intended for Wetzel’s 9 lives. Before the collection’s official release, the song was listed as the third track. However, at some point, the tune was replaced with a cover of XXXTentacion’s “Depression & Obsession” without a word of explanation.

Soon after the album’s release, the artist appeared on an episode of the podcast “God’s Country,” hosted by Reid and Dan Isbell, where he entertained listeners with rambling stories and hunting tales, and even offered a brief performance of the long-awaited “Casamigos.”

The artist will inaugurate the release of “Casamigos” on Friday with a stop in Camdenton, Missouri, as he continues his Damn Near Normal tour across the United States. The tour will take him through arenas and amphitheaters across North America throughout the fall before setting his sights on Europe and the United Kingdom.
