This statistic shows how difficult the debut of Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was

The Chicago Bears recorded their season-opening win against the Tennessee Titans yesterday. In the end, the Bears beat the Titans with a final score of 24-17.

Caleb Williams made his debut for Chicago, but it didn’t go according to plan.

The Bears won the game, but it wasn’t because Williams ran the offense at full speed. He completed just 14 of his 29 pass attempts for 93 yards, scoring no touchdowns and throwing no interceptions.

It was a tough outing for Williams. He couldn’t get anything done all game. However, the Chicago defense scored with a pick-six and the special forces blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown.

Despite the rookie quarterback’s difficult first NFL game, the Bears found a way to get the job done.

Gone are the days when Williams dominated his opponents in college football and made no money.

By the way, his zero income was enormous. He reportedly earned around $10 million in zero income during his college years.

Now he has to face an NFL defense that is far more talented than anything he has faced before.

Jack McGuire from Bar stool sports shared an interesting statistic that showed how tough Williams’ NFL debut really was.

There are only two quarterbacks in modern NFL history who attempted more than 25 passes in their debut and gained fewer than 100 passing yards. Those two quarterbacks are now Williams and Desmond Ridder.

Every quarterback has a tough game from time to time. Unfortunately, Williams experienced one in his first career game.

There is absolutely no reason to panic after just one match. Williams will get back into the swing of things and bounce back from her debut performance. Fans need to remain patient and trust the process.

No one can deny how bad the first game of the year was, but his teammates backed him up and got the win. Sometimes that’s exactly what quarterbacks need from their teammates.

Chicago’s next game is an away game against the Houston Texans in Week 2. The duel between Williams and CJ Stroud is eagerly awaited.

Hopefully, the Bears’ new franchise player can impress with a strong sophomore performance. His talent is still limitless and that will surely show on the field in the near future.
