Miami Dolphins fans watch the first week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars

Last week I asked three questions about tomorrow’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Below are some of your answers and thoughts on these three Phinsider Questions of the Day:

If you could steal any player from the Jacksonville Jaguars roster and put him on the Miami Dolphins Squad, which player would it be and why?

phinfan413 doesn’t have to be a Tua fan.

First the QB. Then all healthy OL players.

Subscribe is a fan of the Jags pass rusher.

Josh Hines-Allen. He would probably be good for about ten more sacks than the guy he replaces. He also fits better in Miami’s base defense than Jax.

Subscribe is a fan of Jacksonville’s solid punter Logan Cooke.

The suitor!!!

Darrel Owen wants to improve the offensive line in every way possible.

I would take their best IOL, whoever that is.

Subscribe wants the former Clemson star as running back.

Etienne….

21Dave wants an offensive lineman, QB, defensive end and defensive tackle.

Robinson, Oluokun, Hines-Allen and Lawrence as well. He’s not solid but he would be an instant addition but after a season and McD and him expanding his playbook to 7-12 yards I think we can really take full advantage of our speed!

Subscribe might be interested in your start center!?!?!

Maybe its center?

dolphinfan4lyfe longs for a center and right guard.

Scherff or Morse, plain and simple. Both are older, but both would anchor the line well

DerRoo1 screams for improvement at center and guard.

A center

a guard

Every starting O-Lineman

any wideout or corner you can move to the guard or center position

Equipment operator or trainer with an appearance that would suit a guard or center

A cheerleader who could be in the middle of the line 40% of the time and distract the opposing defense.

What is your prediction for who will win this week’s game between your Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars? What is your prediction for this week’s final score?

Bill Moody has a solid day with four touchdowns for the Phins, with Smith introducing himself in South Florida.

Jags 17, Fins 28…. Jonnu Smith with 2 Tuddys.

Subscribe Miami has a touchdown.

20-13 dolphins!

Herbert Pollack is another game where Miami has a touchdown lead.

cover the range, 31-24

Lefty55555 has a one-point win in what will be a battle.

This has all the makings of a heavyweight fight. Two teams that excel in different areas. Who will knock out who? If the Finns win, give the game ball to the offensive line! 25-24 Finns!

Spok507 says nobody knows what we have until the season starts, but Miami still has a lead of a few touchdowns.

The first game is always the hardest to predict. No one really knows what to expect from either team. All assumptions are based on last year — and no team is the same as the season before. With that in mind, I think the Dolphins offense will be firing on all cylinders, and I don’t think Jax can keep up with Hill and Waddle — especially if they play in press coverage. If they use the two safeties in the backfield, we now have Jonnu Smith who could make a big play instead. Surprisingly, they listed him as a FB instead of a TE. Does that mean they’ll use him more in the run game? If so, he’ll be a dual threat as a runner and pass receiver out of the backfield. The real question mark is our defense. If Weaver has a game plan, we have a good chance to improve. Let Ramsey do what he does best instead of smothering him on one side of the field. Fuller is capable, as is Kahou, and we’ll see if Bonner is serious or not. Holland and Poyer should be impressive. I think Phillips and Ogbah can start the season strong, with Chop, Bell and Kamara doing damage as well. Seiler, Jones and Campbell also look pretty strong in the middle. We have the talent to build a great defense. It’s all a matter of whether Weaver has the know-how to use it. I’m optimistic and believe he has it. The Fins win 27-13.

THEphinz says the lead will be a few touchdowns and a few field goals.

34-14. We have two very good tackles that are thwarting their pass rush. Our defense almost automatically has to be better in the passing game and in the red zone defense. T² starts hot. T Law shows that he is overrated.

Yarganaught has a list-

Who will win directly? Miami

What is your final score prediction if the team wins or loses? 28-17

Who do you think will be the star of the game on offense? Achane is having a good day.

Who do you think will be the star of the game on defense? I think Phillips is having a pretty good first half, and that’s all he needs.

What other bold prediction do you have for this week’s game? Miami won’t let Etienne reach 100 yards.

What will you be looking for that no one else seems to be talking about? How diverse will the offense look? Will TEs, RBs and WR3s be used as primary options or will it be the Hill/Waddle show?

David7777 The defense shows no mercy!

The Finns show no mercy when they come out of the gate. 42-14. And Weaver proves his excellence

62Lou sees a four-point win in a must-win game.

Fins 31-27. First two games are must-win games. Both at home, after that we have 9 road games and only 6 home games all season. Tua and McNerd just can’t afford a loss here, but it’s entirely possible. Jax has some real dogs on defense and Tua has been known to screw up. Tua is KEY and can run the ball effectively (tough against Jax). Tus can’t focus too much on HILL even if he should have a great game. We need the TEs early in the game – and don’t take sacks (throw the damn ball away early) and RUN the ball, TUA, get out of the pocket EARLY, if he breaks down – make a decision and go. It’s TIME for TUA to show he’s worth the BAG he got…at home…NO EXCUSES…And last but not least…NO BACKWARDS PASSES, MCNERD BOY…SHOW US SOMETHING NEW

NCSurferMike says when the Jags’ defensive coordinator takes over press coverage, Hill will eat breakfast, lunch and dinner for him.

The Jags D-coordinator likes to use a press man coverage. If he tries that on Hill, it’s a recipe for disaster as he is the highest rated WR in the NFL against that coverage. Hill gets 150+ and 2 TDs… one of which comes off a 50 yard pass from Uno as he sees Hill fly right past the coverage. A-train also breaks up a long run for a tuddie. The Fins win comfortably 34-17

Who do you think will open the 2024 season by being named the Miami Dolphins MVP on both offense and defense in Week 1?

Call_to_be_priest’77 thinks I’m trying to trick you. Maybe!?!

That’s a bit of a trick question. Given all our injuries, I’m not sure which big names will be playing!

Obviously, the organization has done next to nothing to improve the team’s health situation. If this is the result for Week 1, well, WEEK 1, then I’m no longer optimistic that we’ll even make the playoffs this season, let alone actually win a game there.

If the team’s health improves and shows signs of stability, I think my optimism would return, if we aren’t already in a difficult spot at this point. But right now, I’m deeply disappointed that the organization hasn’t been able to improve our injury situation.

tpl sees a few rookies showing the world why the Dolphins drafted them.

Offense: Jaylen Wright. He’ll have some long runs.

Defense: Chop Robinson.

DerRoo1 believes that a wideout-focused defense could lead to another game where Achane excels.

Take the achane.

Jax is so set up for the WRs that he leaves room for the runners.

Miami7 sees a newcomer and a penguin stand out this week.

Waddle and hack!

Dolfanjoe sees the Dolphins taking the script to a whole new level with Achane.

Offense: Achane will take the blocking game to a whole new level! The defense will get tired of chasing him down the field! On defense: The old man in the middle will make the difference. Calais Cambell was incredibly disruptive last year. Together with Seiler, they will make the difference by slowing down the running game and adding a little extra pressure in the pocket!

PA-Phinphan sees our starting quarterback and a rookie as winners for the Phins.

Offense – Tua 300+ Yards 3 TDs 0 Int; Defense – Jordyn Brooks 10 Tackles 2 TFL 1 Sack

Subscribe roll with the newbies!

Offense: Jaylen Wright, Defense: Kamara!

It’s nice to be back in the season where we get a lot more answers to the Question of the Day, but it does force me to randomly select answers in some posts. I can’t post everything because it would just get lost in the shuffle. In a short week, I’ll be back next week with new Questions of the Day for Thursday night’s home game against the Buffalo Bills. Thanks again to everyone who took the time to answer the Question of the Day in each of our posts.
