Quinn Ewers and his Texas teammates are in high spirits after their 31-12 win over Michigan on Saturday at The Big House.

After the Week 2 win in Ann Arbor, veteran linebacker David Gbenda planted the Longhorns flag in the Michigan logo at midfield.

After the game, Ewers posted a photo on Instagram of himself and his teammates in the locker room after the win, accompanied by “Turn My Swag On” by Soulja Boy.

Ewers threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns, helping Texas end the reigning national champions’ 16-game winning streak.

By halftime, the Longhorns built a 21-point lead. Wolverines quarterback Davis Warren, who was set to replace 2024 NFL Draft pick JJ McCarthy, struggled as Texas’ defense held Michigan without a touchdown until the final two minutes.

Ewers said after the win that the victory was “definitely cool” because of his connection to Michigan’s rival Ohio State, where he began his college career in 2021.

Texas, which opened its first SEC season with a 52-0 victory over Colorado State, improved its overall record to 2-0 with the win. The Longhorns will look to extend that streak to three when the team returns home next Saturday to face UTSA.
