No ESPN? Here’s how to watch college football and more during DirecTV’s dispute with Disney

DirecTV subscribers still cannot access ESPN and ABC due to an ongoing dispute with Disney. Consumers have other streaming options available, including Fubo TV (free trial) and Sling. Notably, Fubo TV is offering new users a $30 discount on their first month of service. Likewise, Sling is giving new users a 50% discount on their first month of service.

The dispute between DirecTV and Disney could linger for a long time, meaning DirecTV subscribers will miss a lot of college football. In particular, they won’t be able to watch Auburn-California, #4 Alabama-South Florida and #14 Tennessee-#24 NC State on Saturday. In addition, tonight’s SMU-BYU football game will be unavailable due to the suspension.

In addition to numerous college football games, DirecTV will also be unable to broadcast the US Open, Sunday Night Baseball and Monday Night Football. Losing access to all three events will be frustrating for many consumers, but there are several alternatives.

Fubo TV and Sling allow fans to access all the events not available on DirecTV. The two streaming services offer new users a first-month discount, making it easier for DirecTV subscribers to switch to a new provider. Fubo TV offers a free trial that lasts for one week, allowing consumers to catch all the events happening this weekend.
