The Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders and Seattle Seahawks have byes this week, meaning fantasy owners of tight ends like Brock Bowers, David Njoku and Tucker Kraft will have to look elsewhere for production.

The tight end position delivered a historic performance on National Tight Ends Day just two weeks ago, but came back down to earth in Week 9. Fantasy players are hoping their tight ends can repeat that Week 8 success in Week 10.

Fantasy teams are constantly faced with difficult starting seating decisions for their tight ends. Week 10 offers your team a new opportunity to make a statement and advance in the playoffs.

Here’s a breakdown of who you should start with and who you should root for in Week 10 of the fantasy football season.

Fantasy Football Start ’em: Week 10 TEs

Mark Andrews, Ravens (vs. Bengals)

Let’s start with Thursday Night Football in Week 10. Fantasy owners likely drafted Mark Andrews in the early rounds and were disappointed with his performance. Those same owners have been looking for other options at tight end, but this week we’re starting with Andrews. The Ravens host the Bengals in Week 10 and Andrews’ role in the offense has stabilized over the last month.

Cincinnati has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends and is tied for the second-most touchdowns allowed at the position. Andrews was able to overcome his early season slump in Week 5 when the Ravens played the Bengals. Last week, the Ravens made quick work of a blowout against the Broncos, and the flow of the game didn’t favor the veteran tight end. According to FTN, the Bengals rank 25th in overall defensive DVOA. In the past, Andrews has lit up the Cincy defense, scoring a touchdown and rushing for at least 50 yards in three of the last five meetings.

Dalton Kincaid, Bills (vs. Colts)

The Bills’ second-year tight end didn’t provide the elite fantasy production owners were hoping for in 2024. Through the first nine games of the season, he ranked in the top 10 among tight ends just twice. However, Buffalo will travel to Indy to play the Colts in Week 10 and the matchup is exciting. Gus Bradley’s defense is always vulnerable in the middle, flat areas of the field. Indy has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. They are tied with the Chiefs for most receptions allowed at the position.

Keon Coleman and Amari Cooper are dealing with wrist injuries and could be sidelined or limited. Khalil Shakir is a stable target option, but Kincaid is quietly climbing up the target list in Buffalo. He led the team with 10 targets last week against Miami. Kincaid has a chance to post his best numbers of the season on Sunday.

TJ Hockenson, Vikings (vs. Jaguars)

The Vikings will face the reeling Jaguars on the road in Week 10. On “Sunday Night Football” last week, Minnesota reacquired its star tight end for the first time in 2024. If you’re going to start Hockenson, consider using him against the Jaguars this week.

The 27-year-old tight end was having the best season of his career before his injury last season. Despite reports suggesting he would be at full strength when he returned, Josh Oliver was quicker than him. Hockenson’s workload should increase weekly and the matchup against Jacksonville is too good to ignore. The Jags have allowed the seventh-most points per game to tight ends. Fantasy owners likely drafted Hockenson or acquired him off waivers in hopes of getting a top-10 player at the position; He will do that starting this Sunday.

Kyle Pitts, Falcons (vs. Saints)

Some fantasy football owners are looking for reasons to give up on Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts, and his one-catch, 11-yard performance in Week 9 could be the reason why. However, he is currently the seventh overall scoring tight end in his first nine yearseks, and the addition of Kirk Cousins under center has pushed Pitts forward most weeks.

Drake London was injured last week and could be limited in Week 10. Atlanta will face the Saints, who allowed Panthers rookie tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders multiple splash plays last Sunday and allowed the ninth-most yards at the position this season. Pitts posted a zero against the Saints in Week 4, but expect a rebound after finishing with double-digit fantasy points in four straight games before his dud in Week 9.

Fantasy Football Sit ‘Em: Week 10 TEs

Zach Ertz, Commanders (vs. Steelers)

The Washington Commanders host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10. Veteran tight end Ertz is coming off his worst performance of the season. His snap percentage fell below 50% for the first time this season as rookie Ben Sinnott continues to see increased playing time.

The Steelers’ pass defense was strong, allowing the seventh-fewest receiving yards to opposing tight ends. With TJ Watt and Alex Highsmith screaming on the edges, Ertz may need to provide more pass-blocking help than usual. Seat Ertz on Sunday.

Hunter Henry, Patriots (vs. Bears)

The New England Patriots face the Chicago Bears on the road in Week 10. The veteran tight end has been a solid streaming option this season, but he’ll have to stay on the bench this week. The Patriots’ No. 3 overall pick, Drake Maye, has been impressive in his first three good NFL starts. You may be confident that you can safely and confidently get Henry back into the lineup this week, but he’s not in a good position.

Henry is New England’s leading receiver and has run the most routes for the team this season, but the Patriots’ offensive line will be a problem again on the road. In Week 9, the Titans recorded 29 pressures on Maye, more than doubling their previous season high of 13. The Bears pass defense was strong. Chicago has a speedy defense led by Tremaine Edmunds at linebacker. Sit with Henry this week.
