$50,000 Powerball ticket purchased at supermarket in New Jersey

A $50,000 Powerball ticket was purchased at a Morris County convenience store for Monday’s lottery drawing.

The winner purchased the lucky third-prize Powerball ticket at Krauszer’s Food Store on West Main Street in Chester, New Jersey, lottery officials said Tuesday. Four numbers plus the Powerball were guessed correctly.

Monday’s winning Powerball numbers were: 18, 30, 31, 52 And 63. The Powerball was drawn 22 with a power play 2X.

No one across the country won the $319 million Powerball jackpot on Monday.

In Illinois, a $1 million second-prize ticket was purchased with five numbers, but not the Powerball.

The top prize for Wednesday’s next drawing is worth an estimated $336 million, with a cash option of $165.3 million.

Additionally, no one nationwide won the $10 million double-play secondary jackpot on Monday. These winning numbers were: 24, 27, 47, 49 And 55. The Double Play number drawn was 11.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who purchases a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of matching five numbers and at least 1 Million $ to win, while the odds of winning a third prize are 913,129 to 1 or at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $129 million with a cash option of $62.3 million.
