15 home service professionals receive $150,000 in Jobber grants for demonstrating business excellence

TORONTO, CANADA —/PRNewswire/— Jobber, a leading home services software provider, today announced the 15 recipients of its $150,000 Jobber Grants program. “At Jobber, we are passionate about helping small businesses succeed,” said Sam PillarCEO and co-founder of Jobber. “The Jobber Grants program is one of the ways we support and encourage the hard-working entrepreneurs who move our communities forward. It’s more than just financial support – it’s a commitment to help business owners achieve their dreams and build lasting success.”

Since 2020, Jobber has reviewed tens of thousands of applications and awarded $600,000 in free grants to 100 plumbers, painters, arborists and more across the U.S. and Canada. This year’s recipients were carefully evaluated by a panel of judges and selected in four categories: Home Service Heroes, who keep our homes and offices running safely and smoothly; Career Builders, who help hardworking people build meaningful careers; Smooth Operators, who prioritize technology and innovation to run a smooth business; and Community Caretakers, who give back to the communities where they live and work.

The 2024 award winners include Jay RawlsOwner of Jay’s Lawn Care based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Jay is dedicated to providing reliable lawn care services with a focus on professionalism, inclusivity, and team growth, and offers his employees profit sharing in the company. With plans to invest his stipend in a used truck, Jay aims to increase service capacity by 30% within the first year to accommodate simultaneous team assignments and maximize revenue potential.

“It is a great honor to be selected by Jobber from thousands of applicants, and I am incredibly excited about the opportunities this grant will provide our company and our community,” said Rawls. “Not only is it a turning point for our company as we enter a new phase of growth, but it is an honor to be recognized for our hard work and commitment to our loyal customers. I can’t wait to put these funds to work and provide my employees and customer base with the premium service they deserve!”
