The Kennedy clan is a family of dog lovers.

As a tribute to his beloved mother Ethel Kennedy, who died on October 10, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed that she owned many dogs in her life – 16 of which were all Irish Setters named Rusty.

However, Ethel wasn’t the only family member who had a fondness for dogs. In fact, her brother-in-law John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie Kennedy, as well as several other family members, often stayed close to their four-legged friends – taking them with them on campaign trails, showing them in family portraits, etc.
