The best yet, but is it good enough?

The interpreter tool is part of the Galaxy AI package that Samsung is offering with its 2024 flagship range. It translates conversations in real time into your preferred language. It is convenient for frequent travelers who want to overcome the language barrier.

Galaxy Z Flip 6 users can flip the screen so another person can read the text seamlessly. Before traveling to another region, download relevant language packs to enable real-time translation.

  1. Open the Interpreter tool on your phone.
  2. Tap the Hamburger menu in the upper left corner and open Settings.
  3. Choose Language packs for translation.
  4. Download relevant language packs from the menu below.


You can also activate Tap to speak so that microphones do not turn on automatically. This option can be useful if you want to say something now and save the translation on the screen for later.

2 Draw over images with Sketch to Image

Sketch to Image is another AI tool that comes integrated into the default Gallery app. It lets you draw over any image in the gallery and generate an image from it. Let’s see it in action.

  1. Open any image in the Gallery app.
  2. Go to Edit menu and tap the AI symbol in the lower left corner.
  3. Draw everything you want to create in the image.
  4. Knock Generate.
  5. Take a look at the final results and tap Save copy.


Samsung also offers Sketch to AI in the standard Notes app. You can sketch in the Notes app and use Galaxy AI to create a colored version of your sketch in multiple styles.

The 3.4-inch OLED screen is a central part of your Galaxy Z Flip 6 experience, and it’s important to make the most of it by placing your favorite widgets and apps on it. For example, you can add calendar widgets to take a look at your upcoming meetings, use contact widgets to call someone with a single tap, and more.

  1. Open Settings on your Samsung phone.
  2. Knock Cover plate.
  3. Choose Widgets.
  4. Add your favorite app widgets.
  5. Rearrange them according to size and you’re good to go.


4 Check the cover screen preview

This is another unique feature exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip series. Although it comes with a selfie camera, you can use the main camera and the cover screen preview for your selfies. This is one of the best uses for the cover screen. You can also use the wide-angle camera to fit more people in a picture.

Open the Camera app and tap the small square symbol in the upper right corner to activate the front camera preview.

5 Customize cover screen apps

You can quickly access and launch your favorite apps from the cover screen of Galaxy Z Flip 6. It is part of Samsung Labs and some apps may not work as expected. Go to Settings > Advanced features > Laboratories > Apps allowed on the cover screen and select your favorite apps.


By default, not all apps are supported. However, you can use the MultiStar add-on in Samsung Good Lock and pin any app you want to the cover screen. Here’s how.

  1. Open Galaxy Store on your Z Flip 6 and install Good castle.
  2. start Good castle and select Life upwards from underneath.
  3. Download Multistar.
  4. Open it and select I love Galaxy Foldable above.
  5. Choose Launcher Widget.
  6. Knock Enable launcher widget.
  7. On the title screen, select the apps you want to use.
  8. Close it and check your apps on the title screen.


Circle to Search is a part of Galaxy AI that lets you draw a circle on the screen and use Google Search to get information on all sorts of topics. Samsung has partnered with Google to integrate Google Lens functionality into the system’s operating system. Long-tap the Home button or press and hold the Touch Bar at the bottom to activate Circle to Search.

7 Get help with Samsung Keyboard typing support

The standard Samsung keyboard now comes with a typing assistant that can translate messages, change the tone of your writing, and correct annoying typos in an instant.


  1. Open any app and type a message.
  2. Select the Galaxy AI icon and check its functions.
  3. Let us choose Writing style and take a look at the suggested paraphrases in different keys.
  4. Select the desired option and tap Send.

8 Set up face and fingerprint recognition

Did you skip biometrics at device startup? Go to Settings and enable face and fingerprint protection on your Z Flip 6.


  1. Open Settings and go to Security andPrivacy > biometrics.
  2. Knock Facial recognition and register your face by following the instructions.
  3. Knock Fingerprints and tap Continue.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to add an additional layer of security.

9 Customize the Galaxy Z Flip 6 side button

The side button on your Galaxy Z Flip 6 is customizable. You can set it to open any app, launch Bixby, and perform other actions.

  1. Open Settings and scroll to Advanced features.
  2. Knock Side button.

10 Using the Flex Mode panel

Flex Mode is another handy feature exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. When you enable Flex Mode, the system splits your apps across two screens, with additional settings displayed on the second display. For example, when you open the camera, you can check a preview on the top screen and access the shutter button and other options on the second screen.

Apps like Gallery, Web, Phone, YouTube, Zoom, Calculator, Clock and Calendar support Flex mode on Z Flip devices. You can enable it by going to Settings > Advanced features > Laboratories.
